Now you can plan a trip with Opal fares
11 December, 2014
Travelling with an Opal card just got easier with two new mobile apps plus new trip planner functionality to allow you to get an estimation of Opal fares before you travel.
Opal apps
The two new apps – Opal Travel and Opal Fares – are available for iOS and Android phones via the iTunes App Store and Google Play marketplaces.
Opal Travel app works the same way as the transportnsw.info Trip planner. You can enter a starting location and destination, specify travel times and dates, and search results will display trip options as well as the estimated Opal fare.
Opal Fares app allows you to build an Opal journey to get an Opal fare estimate before you travel. This app is for customers who already know which train, bus, ferry or light rail service to catch but want to know how much it will cost with Opal.
